RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s aid agency KSrelief has restored and re-equipped the Higher Institute of Health Sciences in Yemen’s Lahij governorate, enhancing health education and training.
The project included renovating six buildings, 36 student dormitories, and furnishing 10 classrooms and 38 bathrooms.
Four medical labs were outfitted with advanced equipment to improve training standards.
KSrelief also supplied over 500 pieces of furniture, 414 dormitory items, and more than 800 medical devices for various departments, including nursing and dentistry, along with five teaching-support devices.
The initiative, benefiting 1,850 people directly and impacting up to 860,000 across Yemen, aims to improve the learning environment and strengthen health education infrastructure.
KSrelief’s office director in Aden, Saleh Al-Dhaibani, said the project supports the development of skilled health personnel and is part of broader efforts to rebuild Yemen’s health and education sectors.
